Position Description
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for driving product roadmaps and requirements, and then partnering with Program Management and Engineering to guide the development process to successful product launch. This position works closely with the Professional Services and Sales departments to understand customer needs and market trends, define market requirements, assess competitors, and translate these findings into effective product strategies. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for the overall success of one or more products and may manage one or more product managers.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree required; computer science/engineering degree or equivalent experience a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of increasing responsibility in software, Internet or content services product management, product marketing or program management, preferably in the digital music or consumer electronics industries.
- Must have a solid track record in design and delivery of successful and innovative applications or services.
- Solid experience in digital media technologies, software development, and database technology.
- Experience in content aggregation, search, data mining, data-driven applications, and/or media players a plus.
- International experience is a plus, especially Japan, Korea, China or Europe.
This opening is located at Gracenote’s corporate offices in Emeryville, California, not far from the east end of the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Bridge.
