The IT Applications Developer will have strong experience in proposing, estimating, designing, developing and supporting technical solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of the Oracle E-Business Suite technical architecture as well as expertise with Oracle and MS SQL Database Administration and Microsoft Development technologies.
The core competencies for this position should be with development and database tools that will enable them to design support and develop Application extensions, integrations, conversions, EDI/XML and Web Services transactions, reports modification/creation, and workflows.
REQUIREMENTS
The IT Applications Developer has strong knowledge in the following areas:
- A detailed level understanding of business processes/business flows and the underlying technical architectures for at least two of the following systems:
- Oracle Financial Suite, Salesforce.com, Siebel on Demand, SharePoint 2007, Project Server 2007
- Proficiency with tools used to in Applications development including, but not limited to, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, Forms, Reports, Workflow Builder, Discoverer, JSP, Java Beans, Web Services, , Visual Studio.
- Proficiency with tools used to for report writing, XML Publisher, Oracle Reports, SQL Analysis Server, Crystal Reports Server etc..
- Detailed understanding of concepts and issues multiple Database Platforms. DBA level expertise with at least 2 of the following database platforms:
- Oracle 10G, MS SQL 2005, MYSQL, DB2
- Proficient with tools designed for report writing, XML Publisher, Oracle Reports, SQL Analysis Server, Crystal Reports Server etc..
- Proficient with of HTML, XML, JSP, Web Services, .Net or other object-oriented programming language
- Requires in depth knowledge of Linux, Windows and Unix Shell Scripting
- Working knowledge of Server tasks and administration
- Thorough knowledge of Network infrastructure and communication protocols
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop Scripts, Conversions Processes, extensions, interfaces, and reports as required
- Develop technical design documents for Conversions, extensions, interfaces, and reports
- Develop User Interface/Workflows customization on multiple platforms
- Resolve applications support request on daily basis. Apply sound release management and configuration management principles.
- Coordinate and/or perform code testing of Applications patches, upgrades and modifications
- Responsibilities will include performance tuning, development and technical documentation
- Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge and understanding of enterprise applications and platforms
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, work flows, and meet necessary deadlines
- Ability to effectively exchange information clearly and concisely, and present ideas, report facts and other information, and respond to questions as appropriate
